TCC:Reflective Practice Group (RPG) with Focus on Developmental Education
11/20/2024
TCC Room (12-201)
03:00 pm - 04:30 pm
- Do you ever feel like you are the only teacher who deals with a particular classroom dilemma?
- Do you have a project that you believe is very clearly designed, but students don't seem to connect with it?
- Do you have a "big picture" idea that you could use some feedback on?
- Are you interested in analyzing data from multiple perspectives?
If you answered yes (or even maybe!) to any of those questions, please consider joining this fall Reflective Practice Group!
This group is open to all faculty and staff with an interest in supporting students who may require some level of developmental education. Participants will engage in discussion protocols focused on tackling classroom dilemmas, tuning assessments to be in line with course learning outcomes, taking professional projects to the next level, analyzing data, or any other topic of interest. All members will gain insights by participating in protocols aimed at providing feedback to colleagues who have volunteered to present their work. Each member will be encouraged to take a turn "presenting" but don't worry, this would be a low-stakes, light-preparation presentation.
The Reflective Practice Group (RPG) with Focus on Developmental Education will meet in person in the TCC (room 12-201) on Wednesday, November 20th, from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.
